In 1973 the Supreme Court ruled that a woman has a right over her person which at issue was whether or not a person could abort what was in her body. In this landmark decision of Roe V Wade, the Supreme Court gave "birth" for women to have an abortion. In the years that followed on average there have been nearly 900,000 abortions yearly. While the debate has raged on for decades it is apparent that this landmark decision will once again be challenged in the Supreme Court.
